About our Pricing

Although accurate at time of publication, the prices and fees listed on this page are subject to change at any time. Unless otherwise stated all figures are exclusive of UK VAT (as and where applicable) at the current main rate.

The information provided here is for illustrative purposes only and we will provide a conclusive quote on your project before commencing work. For simple projects this may be email confirmation of time required and the rate which applies, while for larger (or complex) projects we will provide a detailed breakdown.

Development Rates

Our standard rate for all software development services (and all web development services, including SEO) is £400 per 8-hour man-day of work. This is £50 an hour pro-rata, although we will typically quote in days and half days.

A special, reduced rate is available for Minor Development and Maintenance Work, although a number of restrictions apply to this offer. This is ideal if you want to make a few simple changes to an existing website.

We provide a ninety (90) day warranty on all full-rated development and thirty (30) days if our "Fix-ation" rate is applied.

Website Hosting

All web-hosting is provided on high quality equipment which we lease from leading providers. We do not apply explicit bandwidth limits, but we do expect all customers websites to be in-line with what we consider "reasonable use". The fees listed are for a typical site - some situations (e.g. should you require a dedicated server, if you wish to host video or audio content, etc) - necessitate a more expensive configuration.

Single page "Business Card" website from £35.00 per annum.

Simple "static content" website from £90.00 per annum.

Interactive or "Database Driven" website from £180.00 per annum.

eCommerce hosting is included in the pricing for our eCommerce framework and if you choose to use our CMS system within your site there is no extra hosting charge as it is covered in CMS pricing.

All hosting includes support, management and backups (where applicable). We also handle any 404 (missing page) errors which occur to ensure future visitors reach the appropriate page in your site (very important when changing an existing site).

If you wish to host your website with us, but we have not been involved in the development, we reserve the right to make an administrative charge of £25.00 plus the cost of any time spent in it's installation on our servers.

Email and Webmail

Email hosting is available at a cost of £10 per domain, per annum plus £5.00 per mailbox per annum (100mb quota, WebMail, SMTP and POP3 enabled).

The per domain charge is waived if we have developed a website for you which we host and which requires access to SMTP. We can set up domain forwarding and account forwarding free of charge if you have an email account with us.

Domain Names and SSL Certificates

We recommend that you obtain your own domain name to ensure it is correctly set up in your name and that you have full control over it, however we are happy to register them for you if you prefer. Costs are currently:

.co.uk (2 years) for £9.00

.org or .net (1 year) for £9.00

.com (1 year) for £10.00

SSL Certificates are available as required, but prices vary depending on the level of verification which is necessary (e.g full "green bar" validation is far more expensive). Prices start from approximately £50.00 including installation.

eCommerce Websites

Because we develop our own eCommerce Framework (aka ASP.NET Shopping Cart), we split pricing for eCommerce into two segments - the cost of your design and the fee for the shopping cart software itself. The latter is fully inclusive of web hosting, SSL Certificate and support - so we think it offers a great deal.

Content Management System (CMS)

Because of the significant interest from existing clients as well as new enquiries, we are currently developing a cloud-based CMS system which will make it easy to manage the static content in your website - whether it is built and hosted by Mattched IT or not.
